Leisure Suite

A stroll around Kits Beach left you famished and that breeze off the Burrard Inlet has you chilled? Get cozy in Corduroy.

Just a few blocks up from the water's edge, this neighbourhood joint has the kind of laidback charm you'd expect to stumble upon on Main Street, with its kitschy frames that cover the walls and cedar-shingled bar. We were tantalized by its fresh take on traditional plates, like whole wheat pizza topped with roasted mushrooms, caramelized pear, gorgonzola, pine nuts and a little crème fraîche ($14), and white cheddar and Guinness jus poutine with truffle oil ($11).

And there's other cords too—every Tuesday they showcase live music by a local talent.
