cool jewels

Here’s a hint: Aboriginal jewellery is going to be hot, hot, hot, next spring.

And straight from New York comes Totems to Turquoise, an exhibit of 500 pieces of gorgeous aboriginal jewellery from artists belonging to 20 different tribes, many from here in the Pacific Northwest.

Think engraved pendants, chunky rings, and bracelets inlaid with precious stones.

Curated by The American Museum of Natural History in New York, it’s the only Canadian stop on the exhibit's tour, so don’t miss it.

Totems to Turquoise runs October 27 to March 26 at the Vancouver Museum in Vanier Park, www.vanmuseum.bc.ca
