
Vancouver Peace Summit to bring six Nobel laureates to the city
With the 2009 Vancouver Peace Summit: Nobel Laureates in Dialogue less than four months away,
the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education is pleased to announce some of the distinguished speakers who will be attending this extraordinary event.
The public event, which begins September 27, 2009, will bring six Nobel laureates to Vancouver, including His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mairead Maguire, Betty Williams, Jody Williams and Murray Gell-Mann. The three-day event will provide an intimate forum for The Dalai Lama and other brilliant minds, including Maria Shriver, Jane Goodall and Eckhart Tolle, to consider issues of universal responsibility, education and compassion as a foundation for peace.
