O Canada Day! for the Kids

July 1 is fast approaching—are you ready to celebrate all things True North strong and free?

There'll be loads of fun and free activities for the little ones at Granville Island's O Canada Day!, including: face painting, art activities, roving performances and a Canada Day Parade and Ceremony. And, if the kids overheat from all the excitement they can cool off in the Waterpark.

Get geared up for Canada Day by giving your spokes a patriotic boost at the Bike Decorating Workshops, where everyone can decorate their bikes and participate in the parade (along with stilt dancers, lion dancers, the Carnival Band and other colourful characters).

Now that's a party!

Bike Decorating Workshops: Monday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 29 (3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.) at the Picnic Pavilion (south west corner of the Waterpark) and Thursday, July 1 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., Under the Bridge.
Canada Day Parade and Celebration, July 1: Parade starts at 1 p.m. but the fun runs all day! For complete Canada Day event and programming information (for big kids and little kids) as well as green transportation tips visit granvilleisland.com
