What do The L Word, The 100-Mile Diet and Adbusters magazine make? A thought-provoking literary collaboration, turns out.
Actor Mia Kirshner, author J.B. MacKinnon and Adbusters creative directors Michael Simon and Paul Shoebridge traveled to four corners of the world and took seven years to collectively create, I Live Here. Both paper documentary and artful artifact, the book unfolds to reveal four separate notebooks. Inside each, imagery, story-telling, reportage and graphic novellas bear witness to those displaced by the war in Chechnya, ethnic cleansing in Burma, globalization in Mexico and AIDS in Malawi.
